Council Appoints Geoff Holbrook as Planning Commissioner

New Planning Commissioner

On February 1, 2017 the City Council of the City of Imperial during their Regular Meeting appointed Geoff Holbrook as Planning Commissioner. The seat was vacated when then Commissioner Darrell Pechtl was elected to the City Council this past November.

Geoff Holbrook is a fourth generation Imperialite. He is married to Courtney Holbrook and has three children (one on the way); Addison, Samuel and Benjamin. All have attended school at TL Waggoner and Frank Wright Middle School. Mr. Holbrook has worked as an attorney for the County of Imperial for the past eleven (11) years and is a certified Child Welfare Law Specialist. Geoff is actively involved in Southwest Valley 4-H in Imperial. His grandfather was a former Mayor of Imperial and owned "Holbrook Service Station" for many years.

When asked why he wanted to be a part of the Planning Commission he said "I have lived here my whole life and plan to continue living here. I believe I have valuable knowledge that can add to our local government and I want to give back to my community." Geoff is most looking forward to seeing the different projects come to fruition as Imperial continues to grow economically. "I look forward to being a part of it," he said.
