California Safest Cities

IMPERIAL, CA: The SafeWise Report Announces the 50 Safest Cities in California and Imperial is once again #1! This is the second year in a row that SafeWise has named Imperial as being the #1 Safest City to live, work and play.  SafeWise is the second, independent agency to name Imperial as the safest city in California. In February of 2017 the National Council of Home Safety and Security awarded Imperial with the same honor.

Deputy Chief Leonard J. Barra said, “The Imperial Police Department will never stop fighting the good fight. We will continue to keep the citizens of Imperial safe as that is our top priority.  We would like to thank the men and women who risk their lives every day in trying to meet this goal. This recognition should not only be shared with the Imperial Police Department, but also with the citizens of Imperial who get involved in keeping our community safe.  The City of Imperial is a great example of what can happen when law enforcement and the community work together to meet a goal through communication, respect, and setting priorities.”

Safe Deal Zone Avatar

Safe Deal Zone is a platform for which citizens can, when completing a transaction, do so at their local PD or “safe zone.” This affords such buyers to have the transaction completed here if the seller agrees, to help potentially thwart any fraud from occurring. Those not so truthful people will not agree to meet here due to potential consequences, therefore potential victims may not be victims at all.  With our suspects possibly selling property online this could become a good tool. Safe Deal Zone has placed our info in their list of participating agencies and also FB and Twitter.

"The Golden State gives us the game-changing tech of Silicon Valley, the glamour of the red carpet, and the ideal picture of how to live a healthy, active lifestyle. From the Golden Gate Bridge to the Giant Dipper roller coaster at Mission Beach, California is a state full of iconic landmarks that have become part of the very fabric of America. These 20 cities embody the best that this sunny, easygoing state has to offer when it comes to protecting hearth and home.

All of the cities on our list have more than 11,000 residents, which makes their outstanding safety records even more impressive. Over 50 percent of California’s safest cities had fewer than 20 violent crimes during the FBI’s most recent reporting period, and 17 of the 20 cities reported zero incidents of murder. In 75 percent of these cities, the chance of falling victim to a violent crime is less than one in 1,000. When it comes to property crime, your chance of becoming a victim is less than 10 in 1,000 for 90 percent of the cities we’ve recognized.
