Viridiana Rosales-Trujillo brings a strong commitment to public service and deep expertise in economic development, small business support, and community empowerment. A lifelong advocate for underserved communities, she has dedicated her career to creating opportunities for youth, women, and entrepreneurs throughout the Imperial Valley. 

Viridiana currently serves as Manager of the Imperial Valley Small Business Development Center (SBDC), operating under the Imperial County Workforce and Economic Development Department. In this role, she leads initiatives that strengthen the local economy, support small business growth, and advance inclusive economic opportunity across the region. As a first-generation immigrant, Viridiana uses her lived experience to inform her leadership and advocacy efforts. She holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, a master’s in Public Administration with a focus on Leadership in Complex Systems from Claremont Lincoln University, and graduate certificates in Urban Development and Urban Management, giving her a solid foundation in planning, infrastructure, and sustainable development. 

Her public service extends beyond her professional work. She is the Vice President of the Imperial Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she also co-chairs the Tourism & Economic Development Committee. She serves on the boards of MANA de Imperial Valley and the California Southern Small Business Development Corporation. Viridiana also teaches leadership and professional skills through SDSU’s Professional Skills Department and regularly speaks at school and community events to promote collaboration, community engagement and over all economic growth.
